Currently sitting at circa £1.5 million ARR, this business has steadily cultivated a devoted community and established itself as a dominant player in its specialized market. Chief of Staff

Backed by an incredible network, strong customer base and track record of sustainable growth, our client is now looking at improving their tech offering to foster further growth within their community whilst still maintaining the values they have built their platform upon.
The Role
As Chief of Staff, you will assume a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and providing support to the MD, wider SLT and board. The role will require someone who has a great blend of operational and commercial acumen. Someone who can be hands-on operationally, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of processes, who can also drive the long-term performance and growth of the company. This role will suit a “start-up Swiss army knife” who is comfortable with all aspects of leading a business from diving into the P+L and keeping a tight rein on cashflow, to collaborating with the tech team to improve the services provided and furthermore managing the vast community, acting as the face of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the MD, assisting with the pipeline for future tech development.
- Review postings, oversee feedback from members and monitor activity on the site.
- Guide and develop the future direction of the business, including researching competitors.
- Support the organisation with Events.
- Create agendas and minute Board meetings.
- Assist in writing copy for the site and newsletters.
- Act as an ambassador for the brand.
- Management of P+L and taking the lead on budgeting & financial reporting
Skills
What we need to see:
- Be well-organised.
- Have buckets of charm, patience and a sense of humor.
- Have experience of managing a P&L within a start-up or family business setting
- Possess the capability to develop budgets and financial reports.
- Have strong analytical skills and be highly data-literate.
- Proven track record of management experience.
- Have experience operating within a start-up technology environment (e.g. software, e-commerce, publishing, digital product).
- Have experience of scoping and delivering projects.
- Be an excellent communicator; with the Board, the Tech team and the community.
- Write excellent copy.
- Think creatively to identify new areas of growth.

- Ability to network with gravitas, acting as a well-known presence within your industry.
Package
Start Date: ASAP (happy wait for the right candidate)
Salary: £100-120k + bonus
Location: Fully Remote
